Description: You will be the CNC/Manual Machinist for General Operations. Our team is responsible for machining aircraft parts, tooling, and installing bushings on the various aircraft as directed.

What You Will Be Doing

As the CNC/Manual Machinist you will be responsible for working with senior level machinists in the Machine shop and hangers as needed doing bushing repairs, working on manual mills and lathes to support product needs. Other typical machine shop functions as need by supervision.

A basic shadowed tool box is required.

The CNC/Manual Machinist will be required to perform the following duties:

•Operate Vertical and Horizontal 3 Axis Mills

•Utilize typical machine shop equipment and tools such as Millers, Lathes, Drills, etc.

•Read and work from detailed process sheets and drawings

•Interact effectively with management and co-workers

•Good communication, interpersonal and team building skills

•Position requires the ability to safely lift 40 pounds.

•Ability and enthusiasm to learn and operate various machine shop equipment/tools as well as demonstrating a desire for further education aligned with CNC programing.

Candidates must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift on a

4x10 schedule (e.g. Mon-Thurs) or our weekend 3x12 shift Fri-sun

Basic Qualifications:

8+ years job experience with both Manual Lathes & Mills and CNC machines.

Experience with Milling Centers

Experience with reading and interpreting drawings/Blueprints (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing).

Candidates must be experienced with using precision measuring equipment, such as dial calipers, micrometers, scales and gauges to check parts machined against requirements for accuracy and operational sequence.

Desired Skills:

Operate and edit CNC equipment and working with engineering drawings and/or 3D models using Master CAM and or Feature CAM.

Experience with HAAS Controllers

Degree in Machine tool Technology and CNC programming.

Practice FOD control and Basic house keeping

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
