What You Will Be Doing

Lockheed Martin is seeking a skilled and dedicated Environmental Safety and Health Engineer Stf to join our team. This critical role provides comprehensive EHS support to our Facility Engineering, Aircraft Production, and Sustainment Operations. As an EHS Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies, conducting thorough audits and inspections, and developing and implementing safety programs. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, contributing to the overall success and safety of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Review, interpret, and implement EHS policies to ensure compliance with corporate, local, state, and federal regulations.

- Conduct environmental, safety, aircraft, and explosives audits and inspections, and act as the liaison with governmental agencies.

- Develop and implement corrective actions following incidents and EHS program deficiencies.

- Assist with the handling and disposal of hazardous materials and support the site explosive program.

- Provide support for OSHA-required programs, including Fall Protection, Hazardous Materials, Confined Space, and Powered Industrial Trucks.

- Conduct EHS training sessions and support compliance initiatives for facility changes and ongoing operations.

You are a dedicated Environmental Safety and Health professional with substantial experience in conducting audits, inspections, and implementing corrective actions. Your strong understanding of EHS regulations at various levels enables you to develop effective safety programs. Detail-oriented and proactive, you ensure thorough compliance and anticipate potential challenges, developing practical solutions. A collaborative team player, you support various EHS programs and contribute to a culture of safety within the organization. Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree with 5 years of professional experience, 3 years of experience with a Masters degree, or 8 years experience in the absence of a Bachelors Degree

US Military Aviation or Industrial Aviation Experience

Aviation Explosives Handling experience

Experience with developing audit checklist and conducting audits/inspections.

Desired Skills:

Aviation Ground Safety Experience

Familiar with DCMA 8210 programs

Experience with developing ISO programs and auditing to ISO programs (9000/9110/9100/ISO14001)

Forklift Operator experience

40 hour hazwoper / 24 hour Hazwoper

Hazardous waste and hazardous material DOT training

Supervisory or Lead experience

Formal Training Instructor

Able to physically handle and move waste drums, drum handling equipment, tools and equipment to support ESH activities on occasion when additional support is needed.

Able to stand and walk for long periods of time, climb steps and ladders.

Familiar with Federal and DOD regulations and DCMA 8210 relative to EHS programs

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
