Quality Supervisor
KZValve, LLC – Greenwood, NE
Summary:
In support of our expanding business, we are looking for an experienced, hands-on Quality Supervisor to join our team and lead the continuous manufacturing improvement and quality efforts of the company. The right candidate will have experience as a hands-on leader who is equally comfortable working with customers, suppliers, and in the production environment. They can effectively develop and implement quality control tests to ensure the company’s result is what it should be, inspecting at various stages in production and writing reports on their findings to act where needed.
Responsibilities:
• Team Supervision: Leading and managing quality control teams, providing training, setting goals, and ensuring smooth workflow.
• Policy Implementation: Developing, implementing, and maintaining quality control policies, procedures, and standards.
• Compliance Monitoring: Ensuring compliance with industry regulations, company standards, and safety protocols.
• Problem Solving: Investigating and resolving quality issues or non-conformance, finding the root cause, and suggesting corrective actions.
• Reporting and Documentation: Preparing quality reports, maintaining records, and communicating findings to management, other departments, and customers.
• Continuous Improvement: Identifying areas for improvement in processes, products, or systems and implementing solutions to enhance quality.
• Collaboration: Working closely with production, engineering, and other teams to ensure quality goals are met.
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of Quality Assurance experience in a lean manufacturing environment preferred.
• Knowledge and adherence to applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 9001:2015) and Quality Management System (QMS).
• Efficient utilization of Microsoft Office Suite (including Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point)
• Demonstrates deep problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills including high discretion in decision making.
• Ability to develop and integrate metrics into the projects and operations that clearly demonstrate the value of quality to the business.
• Experience with ISO Audits – internal and external
Preferred:
• Business Degree or equivalent experience required with certifications (CQE, CSSBB, CSSGB, etc.) a plus.
• Demonstrate excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Take responsibility for quality issues that occur and will work diligently to ensure resolution.
Position Details:
• Full-Time, exempt position.
• Preferred core hours to be 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. OR 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Workweek is Monday through Friday.
• Travel: Less than 5%
• Position reports to the Director of Operations
