Under the supervision of the Small Molecule Site Maintenance Lead, the Sr. Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading and deploying maintenance operation, repairs, and operational improvements of all equipment and machinery of the manufacturing systems and supervises personnel performing these functions. Aligns with safety and environmental regulations to ensure execution, compliance, and proper reporting.

The incumbent uses professional and technical experience to resolve simple and complex problems, requiring the exercise of judgment and decision-making. It has the ability to collaborate and influence business partners, is a servant leader, and promotes diversity and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance are performed in the areas of responsibility.

  • Ensures the repair, installation, and maintenance of equipment are conducted according to the established requirements and in compliance with applicable SOP.

  • Supervises in-House and subcontracted jobs in the area of responsibility to ensure compliance with the established requirements and company policies, as applicable.

  • Train maintenance technicians to complete forecasted planned/ corrective/emergency/calibration/ predictive maintenance and project support for assigned assets.

  • Leads allocation of technicians in collaboration with operations, facilities supervisor and scheduler.

  • Ensures training adherence of personnel in the area of responsibility according to training profile, maintenance and repair of the equipment used in the operation and keeps them updated on technological changes.

  • Supports the Maintenance and Reliability Engineering & Maintenance Site Lead in handling operating and maintenance procedures of the area of responsibility.

  • Hire, evaluate and give feedback as required to the personnel under his responsibility.

  • Assure adherence to MAM target metrics.

  • Review asset job plans for predictive and preventive maintenance for mechanical, electrical, structural, and instrumentation equipment.

  • Collaborates (participates in/leads) with Maintenance and Operations personnel to fix and solve equipment problems during Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS) exercises or daily complex/recurrent problems.

  • Participate in all EH&S initiatives, including investigations and CAPAs, as required.

  • Implements proven maintenance approaches to improve equipment efficiency.

  • Generate and/or implement data-driven plans to reduce unplanned stoppages.

  • Independently implement small maintenance-related projects.

  • Perform periodic review of recurring issues and develop action plans to mitigate and eliminate them.

  • Create preventive inspections/maintenance checklists and/or maintenance instructions.

  • Active support base business while introducing new maintenance methods.

  • Participate in and propose solutions to improve cGMP compliance.

Qualifications

Education:

  • A minimum Bachelor Degree in Science in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, and Chemical).

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • A minimum 6 years of experience in a related field or related engineering areas (Automation, Production Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, etc.).

  • Prior people leadership experience

  • Experience in duties similar to or intimately related to the ones required in this document.

  • Good communication, organizational and interpersonal and influencing skills.

  • Solid understanding of global GMP regulations is required.

  • Strong analytical skills. Ability to clearly articulate issues.

  • Must have excellent communication skills, able to build credibility within the Quality and Compliance community quickly.

Preferred:

  • Reliability Centered Maintenance knowledge.

  • Business Excellence Black Belt or Green Belt Certification.

  • Asset Management knowledge.

Other:

  • Ability to travel domestic, up to 10 % of the time is required

  • This position will follow a full time onsite obligation
