This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.

Job Purpose and Impact

Sales Account Manager will focus on trading in the Asian markets in our region. Role will require individual to perform from a behavior standpoint by being a great team player, engaging in the business by addressing opportunities, making the right decisions regardless of the outcome. Individual needs to have a proven record of being a self-starter and self-motivated to solve complex situations. Business environment is fast paced with markets that are fluid along with trading with a competitive customer base, having the ability to learn and adapt is important.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain a current portfolio of business

  • New growth through cold calls, face to face interaction, and organic growth

  • Document customer interactions on Salesforce

  • Trade protein with customers such as beef, pork, chicken, seafood, and misc.

  • Price discovery through market data, customer intel, and price elasticity

  • Prompt and accurate communication with internal and external stakeholders for mutual gains

  • Contribute to team through engagement in the business and supporting growth initiatives

  • Self/Professional development.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of four years of related work experience

  • Account management and/or market experience

  • Bilingual in one of the following languages: Mandarin, Vietnamese, or Korean

  • Proficient use of basic software (outlook, work, excel, PP) and other systems

  • Travel 20% of the time within our region

  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience selling products in business to business sales environment

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Experience in XLGO, SAP, Salesforce

  • Logistics experience with high touch fright

  • Strong negotiation skills and selling skills
