The Hershey Company Brand Analyst in Hershey, Pennsylvania

Job Location: Hershey, PA

This position has two openings.

  • Summary:*

The individual in this position will be responsible for assisting the brand marketing team on specific projects and activities in support of the business. The responsibilities will involve supporting ABMs and BMs across archetypes in both strategic and operational brand marketing work.

  • Key Activities / Responsibilities:*

  • Brand Analyst support ABMs and BMs across archetypes to get a holistic introduction to brand marketing and build a diverse skillset

  • Operational responsibilities:

  • Event coordination and program implementation: Support coordinating and implementing brand events (e.g. NCAA Final Four, S’mores Tour)

  • Weekly business tracking – Analyzing weekly retail IRI data to assist in understanding key drivers of the business and informing the need for actions to address business opportunities or risks. Assisting with adhoc retail business analysis on an ongoing basis.

  • Seasons support:

  • Support seasonal growth strategy and execution: Collaborate with seasons team and brand management team to support development of seasonal growth strategy. Execute key initiatives to deliver on seasonal growth plans.

  • Strategic responsibilities:

  • Brand management and planning: Support team in assembling brand plan and IBM materials (data collection / analysis, preparation of materials)

  • Sales communications: Support the development of sales communication updates with oversight from the brand management team

  • Initiative trackers: Provide assistance in updating initiative trackers (e.g. Thins, design updates on IC)

  • Vendor / agency management: Help manage smaller / lower-tier agencies or limited-run / one-off items and coordinate scheduling

  • Design requests: Support one-off brand design requests (e.g. sharing brand assets in Hershey Asset studio)

  • Skills / Competencies:*

  • Strong analytical abilities; able to use multiple sources of data and put together data visualizations

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong marketing, finance, and commercial understanding and intuition

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively

  • Active learner; ability to learn quickly

  • Be willing to take responsibility and accountability

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional business units

  • Problem solving attitude

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI); ability to learn new systems

  • Willingness to be a part of a team that works hard and has fun

  • Education:* Bachelor's degree required (preferably Business, Commerce)

  • Experience: *Marketing experience preferred. Analytical and project management experience is a plus.
