The Hershey Company Director Data Analytics in Hershey, Pennsylvania

Location: Hershey, PA This role will ideally work a hybrid arrangement in Hershey, PA. At Hershey, data isn’t just about numbers—it’s about creating the future of snacking. Due to business growth and transformation, Hershey has a new leadership opportunity on our IT team, Director Data Analytics. The Director Data Analytics is responsible for (a)defining the data products and related roadmap and facilitating the execution of the roadmap, and (b)leading the development and implementation of advanced analytics solutions and strategies to drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role involves overseeing data analytics projects, managing a team of data professionals, and collaborating with various departments to leverage data insights for business growth and operational efficiency. * Responsibilities/Outcomes:* * Formulate and implement a comprehensive data analytics strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives. Ensure the analytics strategy enhances data-driven decision-making across all business units. * Lead the definition of data products to address our prioritized business needs and strategic objectives. Develop the roadmap for these data products and facilitate the execution of that roadmap. Implement the methods and discipline of data product management within the department and drive usage across the enterprise. * Manage and prioritize data analytics projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business needs. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate data analytics into various business processes. * Work closely with senior leadership and department heads to prioritize data initiatives, identify key business questions and data needs. Translate business requirements into data products, data models, and data analytics solutions that drive scalable and actionable insights. * Develop analytics and data products standards and norms for the enterprise to a) enable rapid scaling of our data analytics capability in a sustainable manner, and b) enable the effective federation of analytics across the organization. * Provide effective analytics consultancy support to our federated analytics teams. * Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:* * Ability to develop and execute a data analytics strategy that aligns with the broader organizational objectives. * Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data analysts and other data professionals. * Deep understanding of data analytics tools, technologies, and methodologies, including machine learning, statistical analysis, and data visualization. * Experience with tool evaluation and selection and the use of those tools to solve critical business problems. * Strong expertise in Data Product Management ideally within the CPG industry. In depth knowledge and ability to apply product management methods and principles across the data analytics space. * Experience & Education:* * Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or Ph.D. in a relevant field is highly preferred. * Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in data analytics, data science, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role, managing teams, and overseeing data analytics projects. At least 3 years of experience in product management.
