Position Location: Hershey, PA Note: Location can be remote/hybrid with a preference for east coast due to frequent travel to Hershey. / Position Summary:/ The Global Procurement COE Director has overall responsibility for leading the GP COE Team to deliver Procurement Organization Capabilities, Best Practices, Process Improvement and Technology solutions in the company. This position is a key leadership role and directly enables the broader Hershey Global Procurement team to grow its capability to maximize value creation and leveraging of external suppliers and partnerships and become a highly trusted strategic partner for the business. This position builds and develops the COE team through coaching, mentoring, skills development, as well as providing effective rewards and recognition and a healthy career path in the company. This role also manages key relationships with the Hershey Business Process (HBP) COE and interface to planning. / Summary of Major Duties/Responsibilities: */ / *Business Understanding and Direction/ ⦁ Understands the vision, mission, strategies and goals of the Hershey business and the changing environment of the industry in which it operates. Strong understanding of GP operations and operating processes, both at the local and international level. ⦁ Has a good grasp of how Procurement collaborates and interacts with Supply Chain, Finance, Sales & Marketing, R&D, HR, IT. ⦁ Analyzes organization realities and gaps of the procurement organization and can think of possible solutions to address gaps. ⦁ Works with Chief Procurement Officer to define vision, mission, strategies and KPIs for GP and aligns these with corporate directions. ⦁ Forms a partnership with HBP COE and Planning to synchronize the E2E delivery to enterprise stakeholders of the Source-to-Pay process and enables GP to focus on value creation. ⦁ Helps the CPO to communicate the value of strategic procurement to the C-suite, influence strategic planning and help the procurement organization get a seat at the decision-making table. / Leadership of COE Team/ ⦁ Defines COE strategic plans, metrics and initiatives implementation across organization capability, policy & governance, best-in-class processes and programs, skills training, and procurement technology solutions. ⦁ Builds goals, priorities, and deliverables for the COE Team. ⦁ Reviews and approves all COE interventions and initiatives. Tracks results and adjusts if needed. ⦁ Builds the capability of the COE team through talent, reward and career development. ⦁ Leverages use of technology for COE areas. ⦁ Recommends COE budget for CPO approval. / Strategic Partnerships/ ⦁ Builds and maintains partnerships with internal stakeholders (Procurement LT, category managers, HR, Finance, and IT), proactively analyzes their needs and requirements and translates those to specific actions for the COE Team. / *Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: */ Education: Bachelor’s Degree. ⦁ 10-15+ years of procurement leadership experience. ⦁ Good working knowledge of Hershey’s business and ways of working. ⦁ Extensive knowledge and experience of supply chain and procurement. ⦁ Knowledgeable in HR processes and organization development. ⦁ Mastery of Procurement policies, operating processes, and technology. ⦁ Proven effective leader with the ability to influence people across different levels in the organization. ⦁ Confident and adept in strategic business planning and execution. ⦁ Can build and maintain strong alliances with key internal stakeholders. ⦁ Able to work under pressure. ⦁ Decisive, agile, has a strong sense of urgency and ownership, risk taker. ⦁ Outstanding communication and collaboration skills. #LI-SW1 The Hershey Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
