About This Job
Air and Space Force Solutions, a business unit within BAE Systems, has an opening at our Hill Air Force Base, Utah location for an IT Configuration Management Specialist. The selected candidate will join our Information Services team and have an important role in supporting our mission of Strategic Deterrence through continual improvement and innovation. The position will have the following duties and responsibilities:
Provide Configuration Management and Project Management support for development and operations of multiple enterprise Cloud networks and computing centers
Provide or assist with configuration management of hardware, software, system, and license management; product lifecycle management; change management; project management tasks; and the related processes.
Interface with various department staff and the customer in support of these activities
Maintain configuration management baseline of IT Cloud and OnPrem environments
Implement and maintain change management process
Gather and document requirements and metrics
Develop and improve processes
Establish and maintain documentation policies and procedures
Oversee software license management
Track and report project task status updates
Drive CM related project initiatives
Collaborate with internal and external teams
Perform other duties as assigned

A technical degree in computer science, or other related IT degree, and/or years of relevant experience for this position are as follows:
High School Diploma and 11 years of experience, or
BS/BA Degree and 7 years of experience, or
MS/MA Degree and 5 years of experience
Additional Requirements
Strong communication skills (oral and written), as well as the ability to interact with team members, various levels of management
Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment
A fast learner with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn technologies and understand unique system requirements

Preferred skills include experience with any of the following:
Understanding of the DoD environment and familiarity with DoD operations
Proven experience with IT Queue/Change/Configuration Management
Previous success in developing standards, process improvement, managing processes
Ability to review, analyze, document, and explain technical systems and data
Advanced degree in a technical or business discipline
General understanding of computer networks, hardware, databases, applications, security components, computer operations, and operating systems
Project management experience
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $75510 - $128340
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
