BAE Systems Senior Systems Engineer in Hill AFB, Utah

Job Description

BAE Systems is looking for an experienced Engineer to join our Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E) team for an exciting opportunity supporting the MMIII weapon system. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a highly-skilled team that integrates with the government's Test Managers to support ICBM acquisition and sustainment program testing. This person will help establish test and evaluation requirements as part of the systems engineering process for design changes or modifications to the weapon system. They will assist with identifying, verifying, and validating the adequacy of test and evaluation requirements and plans and will also provide planning oversight support for test and evaluation activities. ICBM, Minuteman III, and DT&E experience is highly desirable.

The position is located at Hill AFB, Utah. US citizenship status is required.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in engineering, computer science, software, mathematics, or physics.

  • 7 years of experience (or 5 with Masters) in systems integration and analysis of hardware and software systems/processes, including 2 years in leading system design, integration, and analytical efforts

  • Identifying and addressing problems and risks

  • Stakeholder communications and problem-solving

  • Effective oral and written communication skills with customers and team members

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of integrity, even under pressure

  • Attention to detail, including good time management and organization skills

  • Experience creating and reviewing professional documents, presentations and spreadsheets

  • Must also be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance. The criteria for obtaining and holding a clearance are driven by US government requirements. You must be a US citizen to obtain a security clearance

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Minuteman III ICBM Weapon System experience

  • Experience supporting Weapon System acquisitions or sustainment programs

  • Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, or Test Engineering degrees

  • Experience in Operational Test & Evaluation (OT&E) and Development Test & Evaluation (DT&E)

  • Experience reviewing technical documents to assess for risks and baseline incongruencies

  • Current Secret clearance or higher is preferred

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $94728 - $161038

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
