This new ICBM program will design, develop, produce, and deploy new payload system suites (reentry vehicles and/or countermeasures). The key payload attributes include enhancements in accuracy, lethality, and ICBM Reentry System/Reentry Vehicle (RS/RV) interoperable operations. Program activities will also include the employment of digital acquisitions through the application of digital engineering, agile software development, and open systems architectures.

BAE Systems, under the Integration Support Contract, is looking for an experienced Program Manager to lead the Configuration Management/Data Management (CM/DM) efforts in support of an advance reentry capabilities program. The CM/DM Lead will be responsible for the following:

  • Serve to establish and implement an integrated CM/DM plan for the program in a complex digital engineering environment, engaging in many ad hoc activities required to ensure streamlined CM/DM processes for the program

  • Collaborate across all functions within the program to incorporate CM/DM concepts, techniques, and requirements

  • Communicate frequently and build positive rapport with the Government customer and senior leadership

  • Facilitate internal and external meetings to support the program and represent CM/DM in working groups or control boards

  • Identify and mitigate CM/DM risks

  • Provide solutions to complex problems that are consistent with the program's digital engineering objectives

  • Identify opportunities for change and champion needed changes within the program

  • Develop mechanisms for monitoring metrics and for intervention and problem solving within the team, management, and government customers

  • Knowledge of, and skill in, the use of principles of negotiation as required to reconcile diverse opinions that can arise from conflicts

  • Participate in process improvements initiatives and implement more effective procedures

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a diverse integrated team

Pursuant to Government contract, this position requires US Citizenship status.

This position is only located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, due to the special-access classified working environment and is not conducive to regular telework or remote schedules.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelors degree from an ABET accredited program.

  • 10 years of experience with configuration management (CM) or data management (DM), or 8 years of experience with Master s degree.

  • Demonstrated ability to build positive rapport with a Government Customer.

  • Experience in understanding, creating, and managing sound processes.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret /SCI security clearance with Special Access Program (SAP).NOTE: The criteria for granting clearance is set by the US Government.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Current Secret Clearance or higher.

  • Knowledge or previous experience with Air Force Operations and acquisition programs.

  • Previous experience with AF Configuration Management/Data Management processes.

  • Previous experience with military weapon systems.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $103590 - $176130

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
