We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Mechanical Engineering team in Hill Air Force Base.

• In this position you'll work under direction of senior mechanical engineers to research, design, analyze, and develop mechanical and propulsion components, assemblies and systems for Lockheed Martin Space products.

• This role will include participating in issue resolution, developing solutions to technical problems of varying complexity while assuring sound technical content and timely closure.

• You'll develop, review and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and technical analyses necessary to support product build and testing activities. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education with commensurate years of professional experience.

• Knowledge of mechanical modeling or analysis tools, such as Solidworks/CREO, Nastran, or Thermal Desktop

• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

Desired Skills:

• Understanding and ability to apply basic Mechanical Engineering principles, theories and concepts

• Knowledge of Mechanical Design Principles including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

• Fundamental understanding of structures, mechanisms and materials

• Desire to work with propulsion, structures, mechanisms, thermal, analysis and all things Lockheed Martin Space!

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
