The Strategic Customer Group is responsible for the development and execution of strategies that ensure optimal access and reimbursement for the Johnson & Johnson portfolio. Customer types include health plans, health systems, hospital and physician group purchasing organizations, specialty pharmacy providers, pharmacy benefit managers, wholesalers, retailers, federal and state government health care providers and national and regional advocacy organizations.

Overall, this individual collaborates with brand and cross-functional partners to develop winning market access strategies and executes programs enabling market access for the brands within the Immunology franchise.

Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with the Immunology brand teams to build and deliver optimal, integrated, market access strategies for in market and newly launching brands

  • Ensure that all Strategic Account Management teams are supported with the right training, materials (PVP, PIE decks, DSA information and informational items) to allow for timely or continued access & reimbursement

  • Work with our RWE, analytics & HECOR teams to develop clear value propositions for our healthcare policy & formulary decisionmakers

  • Maintain highly functional partnerships with brand partners, account teams, and strategic customer group functional leads

  • Create and lead SAM/VAP exchange forums to collect, handle and share customer/market insights; translate customer insights effective and actionable strategy and tactics

  • Build and execute thoughtful training plan for SAM payer and institutional account teams, ensuring improved proficiency and preparedness for launches and in-market events, legislative changes, and competitive responses

  • Help support SCG/VAP meetings & training for Strategic Account Management team

  • Drive SCG partner requirements across the Integrated Evidence Team (IET) to ensure data generation plan enhances value proposition and support future indications

  • Synthesize competitive, clinical, RWE, Payer, Government, and patient information to formulate market-leading and sustainable product access and reimbursement.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree required. Advanced Degree or MBA preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Seven years of progressive healthcare experience required.

  • Pharmaceuticals experience required.

  • Must demonstrate strong strategy, innovation, collaboration and analytical skills.

  • A strong communicator that can lead delivery and creation of innovative and tailored communications to educate and mobilize critical stakeholders is required

Preferred:

  • Three year’s prior marketing experience strongly preferred but would consider candidates with other market access functional experiences (pricing, quality, policy, account management).

  • Additional experiences within sales, sales leadership, finance, business development, account management, strategy development preferred.

  • Experience leading and developing people and teams.

  • Ability to effectively operate and lead in a matrix environment required.

  • Can clearly communicate and present logical business arguments, including reaching a consensus of opinion when required.

  • Ability to work with approved vendors and data /information sources to develop solid business rationale for the proposed strategies.

  • Extensive knowledge of the U.S. payer and reimbursement market.

Other:

  • Flexibility to travel within Janssen campuses as needed as this position will be based in Horsham with required travel to Titusville, NJ.

  • Required domestic travel up to 25% for required meetings, training, customer visits, etc.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

146,000 - 251,850

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
