Immunology Medical Affairs Real World Value and Evidence Internship – Job Description

The Medical Affairs Division of J&J Innovative Medicine provides practical, industry-specific scientific and analytical experience.
We are recruiting a Summer Intern for the Immunology Medical Affairs Real World Value and Evidence (RWV&E) team located in Horsham, PA. The ideal candidate will be an analytical and detail-oriented individual passionate about translating data into actionable insights that enhance healthcare outcomes and drive strategic business decisions. This internship provides practical, hands-on experience in a fast-paced research environment, supporting our real-world evidence projects.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with US Immunology Medical Affairs staff under the direction of a Program Manager to support ongoing projects
Assist in various RWV&E activities, including but not limited to the development of real-world evidence studies, conducting literature reviews, and presenting scientific research
Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and contribute ideas
Gain exposure to diverse functions within the broader Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Commercial organizations
Eligibility Criteria
Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university and have at least 2 years of graduate study (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MPH) in a relevant field such as Pharmacy, Public Health, Health Services Research, Economics, Epidemiology, or Health Policy
Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
Available to work full-time (40 hrs/week) with reliable transportation to and from the Horsham, PA campus
Candidates must be available for at least 10 weeks over the summer of 2025
Required Qualifications
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly
Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and other information technology systems
Experience utilizing PubMed and other literature databases
Strong interest in health economics/pharmacoeconomics, outcomes research, real-world evidence, and pharmaceutical industry
