Summary
This role calls for an experienced and results-motivated Business Development Manager (BDM) to develop new channels of business and grow our customer base and revenue within the energy & fuels sector. The BDM proactively identifies new business opportunities through effective prospecting and lead generation strategies. The BDM is responsible for identifying and contacting potential clients and for arranging meetings and presentations to research organizations and connect with viable representatives to find new sales opportunities. New business opportunities may be identified in traditional or new markets. The BDM works closely with management to provide regular reports and feedback data to align on the strategy. The role will require coordinating and attending meetings, conferences, and industry events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for finding and developing of new customer relationships
Research and identify new business opportunities including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, and new ways of reaching existing markets.
Generate leads and cold call prospective customers
Mapping out yearly growth plans, setting milestones and strategies for client acquisition and revenue targets
Discuss promotional strategy and activities and align with the marketing department
Develop a network of contacts to attract new clients; develop creative ways to establish and grow relationships with new entities
Create and present dynamic, engaging pitches and proposals to prospective customers
Utilize the CRM to track contacts, opportunities, and proposals
Direct and executes sales strategies and plans for new customers
Identify short and long-term customer requirements and communicate to product line managers
Prepare and host monthly internal opportunity reviews with management to ensure short and long-term goals are met
Prepare and share written customer-specific plans to include, but not be limited to, the new customer’s organization and buying processes; its product and service requirements; short and long-term sales goals; and competitive analysis for each new opportunity
Oversee growth projects, making sales projections and forecasting revenue, in line with projected goals

Qualifications
4-year successful track record of selling complex software, hardware, and services solutions to industrial customers
Frequent travel and a current passport
Must be located around Longwood, FL or Houston, TX
Spanish and/or Portuguese fluency is a plus
Experience in and knowledge of the fuel and energy business is a plus
Compensation
This position is compensated based on a combination of base salary plus variable performance incentive.
