We are currently seeking a Senior Strategy Consultant for the Gas Compression segment in Houston, Texas. As a Senior Strategy Consultant you will identify, evaluate and develop business cases for product and service opportunities related to the Gas Compression segment of Cat Oil & Gas.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide segment strategy leadership covering the industries, regions, products, applications, and distribution needs to support new business development for the Gas Compression industry. This will include market identification, evaluation, long-term forecasting, business case development, and strategy implementation.

  • Travel regularly to gather information about customer needs, market dynamics, the competitive landscape and the company position in the industry.

  • Work with internal and external business partners across the organization to identify industry trends and formulate strategies to grow the business.

  • Develop and refine product requirements and represent the Cat Oil & Gas organization on New Product Introduction (NPI) programs for the Gas Compression segment.

Top Candidates Will Have:

  • Working knowledge of gas compression applications and products (including natural gas engines)

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholders

  • An entrepreneurial product manager mindset with a focus on how to solve customer problems with new and existing product and service offerings

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and synthesize a wide range of market data into a clear and compelling product strategy

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.

Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.

Summary Pay Range:

$126,000.00 - $189,000.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
