Job Description

Project Finance plans, tracks and monitors various projects for our organization, as well as reporting program performance relating to cost and schedule.
The Space Systems (S2) Product Line, within the C4ISR Business Area, is seeking a highly motivated Finance Manager I to join our Project Finance Team. The S2 portfolio consists of 100 active contracts, with both government and commercial customers. Annual revenue is excess of $150M. Contracts supported range in size from (less than $2M to over $100M). Our portfolio contains both production and development contracts of varying contract types. This role can be successfully managed from either a NH or Manassas, VA location , as Space Systems has programs in both geographic locations.
Responsibilities include:
Providing direct supervision activities, including completion of performance goals and reviews, assigning work scope to employees and ensuring employees operate according to company policies and procedures
Promoting the professional development for five Financial Analysts and foster a collaborative culture that sustains the momentum around employee engagement, innovation, and continuous improvement
Ensuring team fully understands their roles and impact on financial results
Financial oversight of the forecasting, Estimate at Complete preparation, External financial reporting and Earned Value Management compliance
Ensuring on time and accurate financial reporting for responsible programs
Providing financial guidance to the Program Management Teams
Collaborating with Accounting, Pricing, Government Compliance, and Financial Planning
Financial Planning, in Hyperion for Quarterly and Integrated Business Plan (IBP) updates
Providing analytical data and recommendations for required improvement
Providing and interpreting data as required for contract accounting activities
Performing resource management planning, ensuring maximum utilization of personnel and equipment
Assisting with special projects and internal and external audits
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Required Skills and Education
- Required education: Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline plus 8 years of relevant experience.
Required skills:
Recent experience in the Defense Industry
Prior Program Controls experience working with various contract type
Cobra or comparable Earned Value Management System
Working knowledge of Earned Value Management principles
Capable of efficient and relevant decision-making
Analytical and problem solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Strong Mentoring Skills
Effective communications skills
Ability to work with diverse work teams
Ability to communicate and present financial data to various functions and at all levels of Management
Able to develop presentation material
Experience with Financial Planning and Forecasting
Oracle ERP
Pursuant to a specific U.S. Government contract, selected individual must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Preferred skills:
Experience with Earned Value reporting to Government or Government Contractors
Proficient in Hyperion
General Ledger Accounting Experience
Proposal/Pricing experience
Skilled in implementing effective processes and controls
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $109780 - $186670
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
