Job Description:

This individual will be responsible for supporting the Preferred Platform & Product Controls Change Execution Team and the aligned Business Controls Lead/Manager with implementation of control programs and projects. Primary projects in scope encompass tactical and technology Risk and Regulatory initiatives. Initiative topics and risks managed include but not limited to trading across Preferred platform, product controls (equities, derivatives, fixed income, complex products), client onboarding controls (account opening) and money movement or transactional based controls.

Responsibilities

• Represents Platform & Product Controls Team and the Line of Business on cross channel initiatives that impact the business.

• Performs risk assessments in partnership with Legal, Risk, Compliance and other Control partners.

• Exercises high autonomy and independently leads multiple projects at the same time (projects could vary in effort size of small to significantly large scale / complex or multi-year initiatives.

• Develops project plan including business requirements for technology sizing/estimation, plan tollgates/milestones, business case, tangible business objectives, project impacts, dependencies, risks and mitigation plan identification.

• Partners with team lead, manager and leadership to develop strategic direction and tactical plans to achieve manage risk to the business.

• Establishes routines to execute and deliver on project tollgates.

• Evaluates project / program performance, proactively identify trends for enhancement and modification.

• Develops and presents project plan materials for executive leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  • Extraordinary organization and time management skills (leveraging applications, tools, and self-identified strategies to prioritize tasks for execution).

  • Ability to navigate complex problems and break down barriers to drive solutions.

  • People management skills with proven experience in influencing teammates and leaders effectively

  • Exemplarily communication skills (verbal and written) with storytelling ability.

  • Strong understanding of investments products and inner workings of markets and various exchanges.

  • Strong and agile problem-solving skills.

  • Intellectually curious and self-motivated. Personally proactive and has a strong passion to be at the forefront of change. Has demonstrated the ability to drive change through process optimization and current work in their scope.

  • Exceptional with PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, One Note, and collaboration platforms (SharePoint).

  • Innovation mindset with the ability to challenge the status quo.    

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proficient using Change Mgmt technologies

  • Regulatory change management focused on implementation of new regulatory requirements from regulatory bodies and/or remediation of regulatory gaps.

  • Proven track record in project delivery and change management.

  • Strong preference prior experience working in financial services, particularly market, credit, fraud or AML.

  • Green Belt or Black Belt certified
