Lockheed Martin BLACK HAWK Modernization Capture Manager (HYBRID TELEWORK) in Huntsville, Alabama

WHAT WE'RE DOING

The Army intends to modernize the BLACK HAWK to meet future mission needs, improve sustainment, and support the fleet for decades to come. As the BLACK HAWK Modernization Capture Manager, you will drive a collaborative effort with our customer to shape requirements, scope and contractual approaches to meet the Army’s requirements for a “Better BLACK HAWK.”

THE WORK

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead development and implementation of strategy to maximize BLACK HAWK relevance in the wake of Army Aviation Rebalance

• Develop a deep knowledge of customer desires, and act as our external customers’ advocate within LM Sikorsky.

• Provide domain expertise through a current understanding of national geopolitical defense postures (including Army Aviation concept for 2030 and for 2040), operational concepts, budgets and procedures.

• Lead team through Win Plan milestones

• Inclusively manage a multi-disciplined team across all functions, including program management, engineering, supply chain, finance, and contracts.

• Coordinate with business development and government affairs for customer engagement plans and execution

• Develop and maintain productive business relationships with broad set of customers and stakeholders, partners, and suppliers.

• Coordinate with Multi-Year production team to develop an approach to incorporate upgrades into production aircraft

• Collaborate across functional teams to ensure flawless capture execution and ensure all capture financial, schedule and technical performance commitments are met or exceeded while meeting customer expectations

• Provide timely and high quality staff work, including but not limited to presentations, white papers, activity reports, meeting notes, call plans and trade show support.

Basic Qualifications:

• Leadership experience. Decisive decision making

• Direct experience with US Army organizations

• Prior experience interfacing with and briefing senior industry and customer executives.

• Willingness to travel as required – job envisions significant travel to customer locations

• Knowledge of rotary wing platforms, architectures, functionalities and capabilities

Desired Skills:

• Detailed understanding of Army Aviation Modernization Strategy, Aviation Rebalance, Army Aviation concept for 2030 and for 2040

• Knowledge of FAR acquisition rules and requirements

• Solid grasp of Army Aviation requirements and operational concepts. Ability to lead operations analysis

• Experience with legislative strategic messaging

• Public speaking experience

• Established and successful reputation in the field, relationships with relevant customers

• Demonstrated experience as a Subject Matter Expert in Army Aviation

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
