Job Description

BAE Systems, Inc. is currently looking for a Senior level Cloud/Ops Platform Engineer to join an innovative team of developers in Hunstville, AL. This position supports the development of mission-critical applications for a federal government client focused on national security.

The senior-level Cloud/Ops Platform Engineer will:

  • support the Architecture, Engineering, Deployment, integration, and operations of cloud-based cybersecurity infrastructure and application deployment pipelines;

  • create and maintain DEVOPS deployment pipelines to Kubernetes environments in coordination with full stack developers; and

  • provide troubleshooting of infrastructure services hosted in cloud environments.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  1. Experience in DEVOPS CI/CD Deployment

  2. Container based application deployments

  3. GIT based source code management

  4. Harbor Container Repositories

  5. Kubernetes Deployments

  6. Azure Cloud Services

  7. S3 Object stores

  8. PostgresDB Operations and Maintenance

  9. Web Service performance and availability monitoring

  10. Agile Development methodologies

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  1. Infrastructure-as-code experience

  2. Hybrid-Cloud/Multi-cloud operations experience

  3. Service Mesh experience

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $115100 - $195700

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
