BAE Systems in Huntsville, Alabama highlights a growing portfolio of development and production programs. You will be joining a team that builds, integrates, and delivers state of the art warning system products to support our warfighters. These products contain complex electronics that must be built and delivered efficiently and correctly. Why? Because a warfighter s life may very well depend on it.
As an Assembler IV, you will Perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. Must be able to work from defined processes and procedures, diagrams and drawings, and can use hand and/or power tools. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. Additional task include be but not limited to disassembly, modifying, rework, reassembly, and testing assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time. This is a 1st shift position.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High School Diploma or GED
Communicate and Read clearly and concisely verbally and written forms.
Follow test specifications, test procedures and verbal instructions in order to perform a variety of routine, standard tests which require reading, interpreting and verifying specifications using simple test and stand setups.
Ability to work from drawing and, schematics, and processes.
Operate a limited variety of standard test equipment such as voltmeter, oscilloscopes, etc. usually working with one piece of equipment at a time as specified.
Perform simple troubleshooting activities, diagnoses minor deficiencies in equipment and recommends rework where necessary.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Able to work in Production, New Product Introduction and Engineering Development environments
Have the ability and desire for understanding and adherence to company command media.
Lean Immersion or 6 Sigma Green belt/black belt certification.
Experience with Continuous Improvement and 5S/7S practices.
Safe Working practices
Experience soldering to IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 specifications
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $49291 - $78866
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
