Lockheed Martin Systems Engineer - IT, Associate Manager / Secret / Onsite - AL in Huntsville, Alabama

Description: This position is within the Lockheed Martin Enterprise Business and Digital Transformation (EBDT) Classified IT Transformation organization. These improvements will ultimately enable Lockheed to build better products faster in support US Department of Defense mission. In acknowledgement of this opportunity, the Classified Transformation organization and leadership structure have been put in place, along with significant investment, to drive positive changes to both transform and standardize Classified IT delivery.

The candidate will be a Systems Engineering IT Associate Manager for the Classified IT DarkStar Platform on-site in Huntsville, ensuring that internal and external customer needs are satisfied through managing and coordinating specific informational technology deliverables, including overall program/project plan, structure, schedule, and requirements.

In this role, you will demonstrate a strong ability to work across organizational boundaries and jurisdictions and lead cross-discipline teams in the development of Classified IT solutions. A successful candidate will work effectively throughout the Lockheed Martin organization.

Basic Qualifications:

• Active DOD Secret Clearance

• Leadership experience in a team of IT professionals

• Demonstrated experience managing IT server, storage, desktop and network needs within closed areas

• Experience coordinating with Operations Manager for workloads, scheduling, priorities and escalations

• Self-starter with the ability to spot potential for process improvement

• Capability to build effective relationships with teams and subject matter experts

• Experience with managing Risk Management Framework (RMF)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to effectively interface with internal and external customers and senior leadership/executives.

• Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering or Information Technology (or related field) from an accredited college/university (or equivalent experience)

Desired Skills:

• Direct management and supervision of IT professionals

• Experience conducting performance reviews, mentorship and training

• Skilled to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical staff and stakeholders, as well as being able to understand and respond to their questions and concerns. • Proficient to identify potential issues with projects and come up with solutions to address them.

• Demonstrated experience with Full-Spectrum Leadership imperatives, managing complex IT projects including cloud service provider solution integration activities. Competent to resolve conflicts quickly and efficiently to keep projects on track.

• Adept to establish and maintain effective reporting and communication mechanisms and provide regular and accurate information and feedback to the stakeholders and sponsors.

• First-hand experience implementing technical security requirements on various secure operating systems (Linux, Windows, and Networking equipment) based on approved DISA STIGs and SRGs.

• Demonstrated Project Management Experience. PMP a plus.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
