Hyatt Sales Manager Large Market – East Coast in INCLINE VILLAGE, Nevada

Description:

The Group Sales Manager is responsible for actively selling guest rooms, meeting spaces, and other services offered by Hyatt to customer groups. This role encompasses account management, conducting site inspections, and generating new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will be adept in the sales process within a hotel environment, capable of preparing persuasive proposals, and skilled in maintaining organized documentation and reports. The role requires quarterly travel for conferences or sales calls.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and solicit guest rooms, meeting spaces, and other services to customer groups.

  • Conduct site inspections and generate new business by effectively presenting Hyatt's offerings.

  • Prepare and present effective proposals, maintain organized documentation, and utilize Hyatt's systems for coordinated customer service.

  • Travel at least quarterly for conferences, sales calls, or trips to foster business relationships.

  • Participate in and possibly lead event meetings, sales, and staff meetings, working closely with sales and catering staff.

  • Maintain close contact with the assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications:

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.

  • Refined verbal and written communication skills.

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of hotel sales or comparable experience is preferred.

  • Proficiency in general computer skills.

  • Completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent is preferred.

  • Advanced selling, negotiating, business writing, and presentation skills are highly desirable.
