JOB SUMMARY:

MedTech R&D Learning works in conjunction with MedTech R&D (MT RD) Business Unit Leaders, HR Partners, and the R&D Learning Council to build learning processes, systems and programs that enable personalized development for Innovation and R&D associates in MedTech.

The MT RD Learning Technology Specialist is a key contributor to the MT RD Learning team. In this role, you will manage the Innovation and R&D learning content portfolio and design and deliver holistic learning solutions, combining education, experiences, and exposure to support specialized and targeted employee development at scale. You are a recognized learning technology SME who is a certified administrator delivering tactical execution across multiple learning technologies. You will provide administration and delivery expertise across the J&J Learn ecosystem. This role is critical to creating and sustaining MT RD learning and development solutions and operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Learning Technology Systems SME (60% of time in role)

  • Create and manage MT RD platform-specific deliverables such as: learning channels, journeys, pathways, smart cards, curricula, learning objects, knowledge checks, videos, surveys, newsletters, program management structures, and artifacts associated with various learning technologies.

  • Lead and manage MT RD engagements with multiple learning/support technologies including: edCast LXP, SUMMIT (Cornerstone on Demand) LMS, Xyleme LCMS, Articulate Storyline and Rise, NovoEd, Axonify, SharePoint, MS Teams, MS Forms, MS Stream, Learning Mailbox.

  • Create and manage system administration artifacts such as user groups and user permissions.

  • Troubleshoot user issues and respond to AskGS tickets across all platforms.

  • Design seamless user experiences across multiple platforms, including connecting and linking internal, external, and 3rd party learning content.

  • Create and manage data collection surveys such as user input, feedback, and satisfaction surveys.

  • Create and publish learning metrics and platform reports.

Learning Program and Project Administration (40% of time in role)

  • Establish and manage MT RD learning standards and system governance policies to optimize learning operations performance.

  • Lead and/or support learning projects through full project lifecycle, including creation of new learning programs and migration of existing programs to the J&J Learn ecosystem.

  • Create interactive and engaging learning experiences including e-learning, virtual, and live events.

  • Manage the MT RD learning content portfolio, including skills mapping.

  • Lead and execute content updates to meet learning standards.

  • Facilitate learning content legal review when needed.

  • Support development of engaging campaigns to bring learning to life for Innovation and R&D associates.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across R&D and Enterprise.

Qualifications

There is an internal pre-identified candidate for consideration. However, all applications will still be reviewed.

Education:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Learning and Development, User Interface/UserExperience (UI/UX), or another relevant field is required. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • A minimum of 3 years relevant experience as a learning technology administration.

  • A minimum of 1 year administrator-level experience in both Xyleme and Cornerstone on Demand.

  • Demonstrated experienced using Adult Learning and Instructional Design principles to build learning solutions.

  • Demonstrated customer- and learner-centric thinking approach.

  • Expertise with an array of learning modalities and solutions (eLearning, face-to-face, VILT, video, etc.).

  • Skilled in project management, with the ability to manage projects from their inception to a conclusion, including scoping, project planning, task assignment and tracking against project plan, assessing risks, and project reporting.

  • Skilled communicator (both written and verbal).

  • Demonstrates continuous improvement mindset.

Preferred:

  • Experience using analytics to improve learner engagement is strongly preferred.

  • A minimum of 2 years in a regulated health care industry.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with thorough attention to detail.

  • Showing initiative to contribute to issue resolution in a fast-paced, changing global environment.

  • Experience working remotely with global teams.

  • Experience with course translations in Xyleme.

  • Skilled in Microsoft SharePoint website administration.

  • Skilled in multimedia development: video/audio production, graphic design.

  • Experience with website design (HTML, CSS, SCSS), graphic design, video technology and editing.

Other:

  • This is a remote position that supports global stakeholders and may occasionally require working and conducting meetings outside local daily working hours to support global regions.

  • The position may require up to 10% travel.

  • There is a preidentified candidate for the role; however, all qualified candidates will be considered.

  • The anticipated salary for the role is $106,000 to $120,000
