The FP&A Manager is a key leadership role supporting the Electrification & Energy Solutions (E+ES) business within the Caterpillar Energy & Transportation Division. This position supports the E+ES business through monthly financial reporting, planning / forecasting, pricing analysis, period cost governance and overall business support.

What You Will Do:

  • Establish transactional flows for new business models for alternative power solutions, working with both commercial and technical leaders across sales, strategy, tax, compliance, legal entity and technical accounting.

  • Provide Business Analysis support for the Division; new product introduction analysis, value chain analysis, investment analysis, sourcing analysis, product costing and supporting NPI projects.

  • Lead efforts to implement period cost governance to support execution of annual business plan and tracking of key R&D projects.

  • Lead reporting and analysis of product-level enterprise results.

  • Collaboration across accounting, commercial and engineering teams to enable business insights and financial support to E+ES business.

  • Upon request, take part in special projects and ad hoc reporting requests.

  • Champion the use of new technologies and tools for analyzing financial data and driving efficiency improvements to monthly / forecasting processes.

What You Have:

  • Education/Experience : This position typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and 6+ years of job related experience

  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

  • Accounting: Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.

  • Financial Reporting : Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Axiom and Power BI knowledge

  • CMA or CPA

  • MBA or Masters Degree in Accounting (or equivalent)

  • The primary location for this position is TX-Dallas-Corporate Headquarters OR Mossville-Building AC Office

  • Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify
