Caterpillar Rental & Used (R&U) division is a part of the Construction Industries (CI) segment. A primary role of R&U is to support and enhance Caterpillar’s dealer network, which is a competitive strength and the critical way in which we serve our customers.

We are hiring a Sales Support Specialist for dealer coverage / locations. The role will provide analysis and recommendations for growing the global rental store footprint. This role will be the subject matter expert for key data sources for the Rental & Used team and business partners.

Role Summary: Assume the role of dealer data expert for dealer’s rental store coverage and support the Rental & Used organization in identifying location growth opportunities. Support dealer rental growth projects as well as additional analysis.

What You’ll Do (Job Duties)

• Complete comprehensive coverage analysis to deliver to dealers.

• Provide territory managers and dealers with visualization and analysis for sales blitz and dealer rep optimization.

• Collaborate closely with rental and used facility consultants and retail partners to align on coverage strategy.

• Manage relationships with third party data suppliers and stay up to date with internal supplier compliance requirements.

• Provide quarterly report outs from Dodge and ARA to rental and used team

• Complete ad-hoc analysis as needed to support the Rental & Used organization and our business partners.

• Lead data and analytics training to support the Rental & Used organization and our business partners.

What You Have (Core Skills)

• Decision Making and Critical Thinking : data analysis experience, ability to understand data, drive insights and utilize to drive solutions

• Effective Communications : written and verbal, including the ability to interact across all levels of the organization from team members to executive management.

• Relationship Management: establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

• Industry Knowledge: heavy equipment industry and operating within a dealer network; experience in the Rental and/or Used Equipment industry

Top Candidates Will Also Have

• Well-versed in and passionate about customer growth and success

• Proven ability to influence without authority

• Experience with mapping tools such as eSpatial and ArcGIS

• Bachelor’s degree

Additional Details

• Work locations: Dallas, TX; Cary, NC; Peoria, IL

• Travel domestically up to 20%

Summary Pay Range:

$87,480.00 - $131,280.00
