Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic individual, who is energized by helping internal teams create value for our customers and site users, to join our Site Engagement team within Digital Marketing Enablement as part of Cat Digital, a division of Caterpillar Inc.
The Site Search Lead Business Analyst (BA) for our website search technologies is inquisitive while keeping a practical, results-driven focus on meeting user needs. They must maintain a high level of attention to detail, be self-motivated, be open to adjusting priorities based on stakeholder feedback, and work in a continuously changing environment.
What You Will Do:
May include, but are not limited to:
Consults with Business Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, and Enterprise Digital Marketing Strategists on the usage of site search technologies and/or data to improve marketing performance to achieve business objectives through site search.
Assigns user stories to BAs as appropriate each sprint cycle to balance workloads and meet deadlines; trains, assists, and guides all Site Search BAs.
Creates, analyzes, and validates business requirements, translating them into detailed functional requirements and user stories, and defining acceptance criteria and test cases.
Documents business rules for the use of an application or process and documents security data classifications for the application or process.
Validates prototypes and fully developed components post investigation and development.
Helps Business Product Owner maintain, prioritize, and communicate backlogs based on business requirements.
Leads projects with moderate complexity related to site search technology and/or data development and business unit adoption.

Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
Considerations For Top Candidates:
Progressive experience as a software/platform Business Analyst (BA) and/or job-related experience with analyzing business, systems, and user processes to create user stories that solve user needs and enhance website experiences
Strong customer and user focus, relationship management and ability to collaborate across a matrix organization
Azure DevOps experience
Lucidworks search products
Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Sites
Communicating at all levels of a large organization
Working with onshore/offshore team model
Advanced knowledge in generating business and technical process documentation
Previous experience with Agile methodologies and working with a cross-functional team
Previous experience with site search user experience (UX) and/or functionality
Proven effective communication and presentation skills, both oral and written; samples may be requested
