BAE Systems Avionics Field Service Engineer in Jacksonville, Florida
Job Description
This is a contingent position in support of U.S. Customs and Border Protection as an avionics and mission system Field Service Engineer. Expected start date is 3rd-4th quarter 2025.
Working for BAE Systems in this role presents a unique challenge and opportunity to work on a broad array of systems. This job entails testing, troubleshooting and repair of complex avionics, communications, computer and mission sensor equipment onboard King Air 300 series aircraft. This is an individual position located at the CBP Jacksonville Air and Marine Branch onboard NAS Jacksonville, FL. The candidate must be capable of utilizing common test equipment such as multimeters, signal analyzers, oscilloscopes and avionics data loaders as part of the typical job tasking. You will work with other BAE Systems team members across the country, the customer and external contractors to identify, isolate and resolve discrepancies to ensure aircraft mission readiness.
This position is located in Jacksonville. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Jacksonville or surrounding areas.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid U.S. Driver's license
Minimum of 5 years' experience as an avionics technician
Minimum of 2 years' related avionics or electronic technical training
Ability to utilize common test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes
Ability to independently provide technical assistance on classified platforms or facility with limited supervisio
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to team with other employees, customer and external contractors
Ability to lift at least 30 pounds, work on ladders or in lift equipment
Ability/willingness to travel to various CONUS or OCONUS locations as required
Proficiency with common Office applications such as Word, Outlook and Excel

AN/ARC-210, RT-1851, RT-2036c radio communications system
Customs Over the Horizon (SELCAL) H.F. communication system
SeaVue airborne maritime/ISAR RADAR
Selex Seaspray 7500E RADAR
L-3 WESCAM MX15 or MX-20 electro-optic systems.
AIS receivers
Avalex or Churchill/Shotover digital video recorders.
Technisonic TDFM-9300 or Global Wulfsburg P-25 radio systems
Minotaur Mission System
Ku Satcom Beyond Line-of-Sight systems
Aircraft power inverter/converter systems familiarity
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $86460 - $146982
