The Manufacturing Operator must be able to perform a variety of tasks needed to monitor and adjust the process to improve throughput. Assist with PMs. Maintain current knowledge and adhere to provisions of FDA, OSHA, GMP, MPs, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, equipment specifications and process specifications. Monitor equipment and process status for new products and new installations. Able to perform routine cleaning and routine maintenance with adherence to all safety policies and procedures. Adheres to environmental policy and procedures and supports department environmental objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Under general supervision performs all responsibilities necessary to operate, troubleshoot, adjust, and maintain the equipment.
Monitors and adjust the process to improve the throughput. Responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting the equipment while adhering to all safety procedures. (95%)
Performs routine cleaning and clearing of equipment jams. Non routine maintenance and repairs will require assistance from a higher level tech ie: Maintenance Tech, LET II, LET III, LET IV. (5%).
Qualifications
A High School diploma/Secondary education or equivalent is required.
At least 2 years of work experience in maintenance or engineering in a high volume production line environment.
General knowledge and troubleshooting skills in the one or more of the following areas:
Process improvement
Line knowledge
PLC systems
Electro/mechanical devices
Robotic/servo systems
Safety devices
Equipment installation
Debug and qualification
Control circuitry development
Electro-mechanical troubleshooting/repair
Equipment prototyping
Production start-up
Equipment process development
Mechanical devices controller.
Flexibility to rotate between day and night shift.
Must be able to produce the quantity of acceptable lenses as required by the production plan and business plan targets.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
Good organizational skills.
Ability to work in an empowered team environment.
Must be able to use a PC, printer, copier, MS Office, and other software as required.
Physical demands of the position include stooping, walking, pulling, light lifting (up to 25 lbs.), grasping, hearing, visual acuity, kneeling, reaching, pushing, talking, standing, fingering, and crawling.
