Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily operation of CNC lathe equipment for insert production

  • Conducting insert inspections and measurements for quality acceptance

  • Partnering with scientific and engineering disciplines in the development of new insert designs

  • Participates in solving problems and resolving equipment, systems, and process problems to prevent the occurrence of insert non-conformities

  • Departmental administrative and safety functions as advised by supervisor

  • Adheres to environmental policy, procedures, and supports department environmental objectives. Engages in Credo-based decision-making

  • Periodic maintenance of lathe equipment

  • Supports installation or modification of equipment

  • Supports process and equipment troubleshooting

  • Documentation and administrative duties

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience is required

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years with hands-on CNC machining required

  • Working knowledge of CNC machine G&M code programming is required

  • Able to complete set-up and operation of ultra-precision Diamond Turning Machines is required

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics is required

  • Strong digital literacy, experience with Microsoft Office is required

  • Experience with interferometers, optical and mechanical metrology equipment is required

  • Familiarity with troubleshooting radius, irregularity and surface requirements is required

  • Experience working to fine tolerances is required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • The ability to prioritize and balance projects and tasks is required

  • Good interpersonal skills are required

  • The ability to work in an empowered work team environment is required

Preferred:

  • General understanding of 3D modeling (SolidWorks)

  • General understanding of fixturing design

  • General understanding of machining best practices

  • Experience working in a medical device manufacturing facility

Other:

  • Travel: Yes, up to 10 % of the Time
