Booth Veneers is the premier provider of cabinetry covering surfaces for the business and VIP jet segments of the aviation industry. In addition to providing unmatched selection and craftsmanship in veneer face products; Booth Veneers also provides laser marquetry, inlays, and artwork allowing our customers to imbue their aircraft with veritably unique personalities that cannot be duplicated

The Sales Leader will be responsible for driving the execution of the business development strategy for Booth Veneers. This position will have a specific focus on driving business opportunities within adjacent markets and with new clients. The incumbent must be comfortable with driving change, taking risks, and leading teams into the unknown. In addition to development responsibilities, the Sales Leader will also be responsible for leading the program management team through execution on existing customer programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the primary contact with the highly visible and/or strategic prospects, develops a professional relationship with the purpose of understanding and meeting the customer needs and within the bounds of contracted scope.

  • Leads business development activities for strategic prospects to support the business strategy defined by executive leadership.

  • Identifies bid opportunities, reviews final bid responses with team, negotiates with potential large/complex customers and builds and maintains customer relationships to win projects.

  • Contacts potential large/strategic prospects to discuss their needs, and to explain how these needs could be met by specific products and services in order to create new client base and increase sales.

  • Guides team to write proposals, presents new business proposals for large/strategic prospects, negotiates value, addresses resistance in order to develop business.

  • Participates as the management team representative on prospective target accounts.

  • Establishes personal long-term customer relationships with prospective accounts to influence opportunities.

  • Responsible for the evolution of Booth Veneers program management practices and compliance thereof.

  • Accountable for the professional development of the sales and program management teams

Basic Qualifications:

  • Sound knowledge of the veneer product in the aerospace, marine, and architectural industries a must

  • Previous supervision experience of professional level employees

  • Expert business and financial acumen

  • Big picture perspective

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and intrinsic need to drive innovation required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within a matrix environment preferred

  • A strong track record of driving cultural change is preferred

  • Strong teamwork and cross-functional leadership abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to create a continuous improvement vision and implement improvements

  • Strong soft skills and the ability influence others

  • Good mediation/negotiation skills

  • Strong verbal and written skills Ability to learn new programs/software

  • Ability to prioritize, and work under pressure and time-sensitive situations

  • This position supervises other employees

Work Environment / Other Position Requirements:

  • Office environment with moderate noise levels approximately 75%

  • Production floor requiring safety glasses approximately 25%

  • Ability to stand for periods of time when on production floor

Travel:

  • 10% of time traveling

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience

  • Master's degree with 6+ years of experience preferred.
