ROLE SUMMARY

This role is responsible for leading a global and rapidly growing area which is critical to the success of Pfizer Global Supply:

Lead the Supply Chain Digital Solutions Creation Center including the design, delivery, and deployment of supply chain solutions that support all supply chain locations globally. Responsible for supply chain digital solution strategy and innovation to maximize supply chain speed, efficiency and service levels for customers and patients. The scope includes supply chain planning, inventory management and intelligence, new product launch, serialization, and track and trace.

Lead the Global External Supply solutions creation center including the design, delivery and deployment of external supply digital solutions that support 300+ PGS external suppliers around the world.

This role requires an agile and experienced leader with unique expertise (digital, manufacturing product launch, and supply chain) who can effectively lead a diverse portfolio of responsibilities and develop and grow a cohesive team. This leader must be effective engaging with leaders at all levels in Pfizer, PGS and Digital.

Global Supply Chain Digital Creation Center Leader

Lead the PGS global supply chain digital solution team delivering the solution strategy and innovation along with the design, deployment and optimization of key digital solutions to maximize supply chain speed, efficiency and service levels for customers and patients.

The scope includes supply chain planning, inventory management and intelligence, new product launch, serialization, track and trace, and warehouse operations with the following responsibilities:

  • Identify and drive digital solutions and services that deliver operational excellence in all supply chain functional areas

  • Accountable for the design, delivery, and deployment of supply chain solutions that support all supply chain locations globally.

  • Establish new solutions focused on digital innovation and support to optimize Pfizer's inventory position and ensure successful New Product Launches (both strategic priorities)

  • Build partnerships with key third parties to support existing operations as well as drive innovations and support strategic objectives. Manage Digital vendor performance and execution to agreements/forecasts

  • Stay current on, and determine the strategic implications of, cost trends, partnership models, geopolitics, supply chain risk and resilience

  • Introduce new ideas, contemporary thinking, and best practices including opportunities to increase digital acumen for all Pfizer Global Supply Chain colleagues

  • Manage the growth, health and operation of the Supply Chain Solutions ecosystem

  • Plan, manage and implement small and large (enterprise) projects through the entire lifecycle for a portfolio of up to $50 million/year

Global External Supply Digital Creation Center Leader

  • Identify and drive digital solutions and services that deliver operational excellence in all external supply chain functional areas (quality, mfg operations, etc)

  • Accountable for the design, delivery, and deployment of external supply solutions that support 300 Global external suppliers responsible for 30% of the manufacturing volume in PGS.

  • Build partnerships with key third parties to support existing operations as well as drive innovations and support strategic objectives. Manage Digital vendor performance and execution to agreements/forecasts

  • Introduce new ideas, contemporary thinking, and best practices including opportunities to increase digital acumen for all Pfizer Global External Supply colleagues

  • Manage the growth, health and operation of the Global External Supply Solutions ecosystem

  • Plan, manage and implement small and large (enterprise) projects through the entire lifecycle for a portfolio of up to $10 million/year

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • At least 15 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, operations, or a relevant field.

  • Broad supply chain digital and operating experience, including strong digital solution development, delivery, and support skills.

  • Experience in a large global organization with worldwide supply chain operations, including the use of Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) and third-party logistics/distribution services.

  • Expertise in global track-and-trace regulations within the pharmaceutical industry, from manufacturing to end customer.

  • Experience in product lifecycle management, including product launches, ramp-up, and sustaining support.

  • Proven large-scale program management abilities, with a track record of delivering complex global programs on time and within budget.

  • Experience managing multiple, multi-year strategic programs with diverse financial profiles, including capital, expenses, software licensing, and asset write-offs.

  • Experience working with external providers to develop new trends/solutions and introduce innovations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or other advanced degrees.

  • Executive-level engagement skills, broad business and pharmaceutical industry experience, and a proven track record of driving innovation and delivering value to serve patients.

  • Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, often-ambiguous, regulatory-driven environment.

  • Proven ability to lead high-performing global teams, including building diverse teams, developing enterprise leaders, and coaching team members.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication approaches for different audiences.

  • High-quality client-service experience, such as working at top-tier consulting, investment banking, or other high-performance firms.

  • Strong personal network within Pfizer.

  • Experience operating in an agile environment.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

The ability to work on site and virtually in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple competing priorities and high-pressure deadlines.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent requirement to participate in calls, workshops or meetings outside core working hours.

  • Sometimes called in emergency situations off hours

  • Travel may be required (10-20%). Work with customers and team members in all regions of the world may require early morning or late evening calls.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $205,400.00 to $342,400.00.* In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 25.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.   • The annual base salary for this position in Tampa, FL ranges from $184,900.00 to $308,100.00.
