Job Description

Hospital and Acute Care (HAC) and Neuroscience (NS) is a franchise of approximately $3B in annual sales and continues to be an important area of focus for our company. We are focused on our vision to save and improve lives around the world. In keeping with the organizational focus of fortifying our future, the Global Hospital, and Acute Care, Neuroscience team is looking to create an organization that enables the acceleration of growth through the prioritization of resources behind key growth brands.

The global HAC/Neuroscience Marketing team is leading the way in embracing new organizational ways of working, adopting the L3 commercial excellence framework, and working in Agile and we are looking to recruit an associate director to be part of this exciting team.


The HAC & NS Global Marketing Associate Director will be responsible for working as part of an Agile team to transform and deliver:

  • Franchise Strategy

  • Strategic Partnerships

  • Promotional Resources / Digital Solutions

  • Medical Education

  • Market Research

  • Competitor Intelligence

  • Insights generated through Data and Analytics

  • Engagement and communications with key markets and regional commercial leads including the Global Commercial Team (GCT).

In addition, the HAC & NS Global Marketing Associate Director be part of a development program aimed at providing opportunities to develop enterprise-wide strategic leadership through assignments that will expose the marketer to Finance, our Manufacturing Division, our Research & Development Division, and our Human Health functions.

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing or related field.

  • Advanced Degree (MD, PhD, PharmD or MBA) preferred

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years combined marketing, sales, marketing support, or related experiences in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries. Passion to save and improve the lives of patients in the acute care hospital and neuroscience space.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Proven ability to work in a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders including external partners

  • Experience working in an AGILE environment. Bias towards speed and agility.

  • Strong collaborator.

  • Experience using Data and Analytics to solve business questions

  • Experience using digital tools to enhance stakeholders experience

  • Strong desire and ability to quickly learn new categories and science.

  • Non-traditional creative thinker with a focus on problem solving and action.

  • Success in ambiguous and taxing situations.

  • Strong knowledge of digital trends and social media technologies that will drive digital.

  • Demonstration of challenging traditional thinking to execute new innovative approaches.

  • Ability to work effectively across teams.

  • Self-motivated; hands-on approach to work.

  • Communicates proactively and effectively.
