Purpose
CarMax Auto Finance is seeking a Business Analyst to join our Strategic Planning and Delivery (SP&D) team where you will be a member of a high functioning agile team supporting a fast-moving array of business and technical partners. This will include working with the business and Technology owners to refine our user story cards, write and track business requirements, and be able to present them to the technical team. Our Business Analyst excels at teamwork and is comfortable building relationships and interfacing with both technical and non-technical resources. Business Analysts are the analytical authorities at CarMax. Apply analytical rigor to CarMax’s proprietary, industry-leading data to formulate and test theories about specific business areas. Leverage your insights in combination with advanced analytical techniques to develop insightful metrics and interactive dashboards. The ability to self-organize and multi-task in a highly collaborative team environment is a must for this role.
What you will do
Business Requirements Analytics and Analysis
Assist in writing effective business requirements that Technology teams can utilize to design and code systems and project managers/delivery managers can utilize in managing initiatives.
Assist in identifying opportunities via analytics and work collaboratively to provide input, develop, and propose solutions to management.
Track and report out on requirements requested vs. implemented, for status updates, job aid documentation, and training communication needs, as well as ROI tracking.
Assist in drafting initial test scripts for UAT and post go-live in support management teams.
Maintain an inventory of requirements to draw from, compare, etc. for efficiency in business requirement writing and analysis.
Pull data and screen shot function/use for ROI testing analysis, denote any themes.
Perform specific interaction analysis and develop analytics and reporting to support tracking of existing requirements and continuous monitoring.
Utilize tools needed for quality and efficiency of the team and partnership interactions: examples, LeanKit, Dashboards, etc.
ROI
Gather information for calculation and documentation of return on investment (ROI).
Gather analytics to track value added ROI metrics.
Growth and Training
Provide input on tools used within the SP&D team, example LeanKit.
Connect and calibrate with Analyst Community of Excellence and other analyst communities.
Perform vendor invoice reconciliation.
Intake Process and Initiative Inventory and Cards
Create LeanKit cards within the SP&D Intake Process.
Track and reconcile initiative KPI/OKRs related to business requirements.
Populate and maintain CAF Initiative Inventory.
Maintain and provide input into reports and dashboards needed by project teams.
Communication Focus
Maintain and populate dashboards and meeting preparations for business and technology partners.
Draft communications to various audiences with different interests and/or levels of familiarity with the technology.
Provide information to create the initial draft of job aid documentation and training material as needed for CAF end user community as it relates to requirements built.

Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent experience in relevant field required
2+ years of experience in Business Analyst or Data Analyst positions or related field required
Moderate proficiency in Microsoft suite of software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Proficiency in verbal and written business communications
CAF or other finance company experience preferred
LeanKit experience preferred
