What will I be doing?

Hilton is thrilled to announce that we are partnering with the American Hotel & Lodging Association Foundation (AHLAF) and offering Engineering Apprenticeships. This is a fantastic first step into the engineering world where you can embark on a journey to become a skilled and passionate engineer.

We are seeking enthusiastic and passionate individuals to join our engineering apprenticeship program. As an apprentice, you will have the unique opportunity to work alongside our skilled engineering team, gain practical experience in a professional environment, and receive mentorship from experienced engineers. This program is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue a successful career in engineering. As well as hands on experience within the hotel, AHLAF will provide addition training to complete.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist engineers with the maintenance of the physical functionality and safety of the facility including, but not limited to, guest rooms, public space and heart-of-the-house areas.
• Learn and practice various repair and maintenance tasks, such as basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, wall repair and more.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with health and safety standards.
• Learn effective communication skills with both colleagues and guests.
• Collaborate with fellow apprentices and engineers to create a positive and efficient work environment.
• Attend engineering classes and workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge.

• Willingness to take direction and learn from experienced engineers.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
