Job Description:

Job duties, but not limited to:

  • At SPM Oil & Gas, our primary objective is to provide our customers with excellent engineering solutions through our products and superior customer service

  • Effectively demonstrate the core values of SPM Oil and Gas at all times

  • Follow all written policies and procedures safely without deviation or refer to upper management for guidance

  • Exhibit and advocate exemplary safety culture at all times

  • Exhibit a high degree of integrity at all times

  • Coordinates production, distribution, warehousing, and sales in accordance with policies, principles and procedures

  • Deliberates with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and

expanded services in area

  • Develops plans for efficient use of materials, machines and employees

  • Reviews production costs and product quality and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain

and enhance profitable operation of division

  • Reviews operations of competing organizations and plans and directs sales program to develop new markets

  • Directs preparation of accounting records

  • Recommends budgets to management

  • Must be able to travel 50% of the time (overnight travel 10-15%)

  • Works with Planning on forecasting product & appropriating safety stock to meet customer demands while

meeting Inventory KPIs & Targets

  • Ensures Production, Inventory Control, Sales and Purchasing are in accordance with policies, principles,

and procedures set forth and outlined by the Quality Management System & QA Documents

  • Works with Finance on forecasting revenue growth, profit margins and budget

  • Continuously improves cash flow in all revenue streams while maximizing profit margins through

effective P&L management and budgeting

  • Develops and leads team to create a self-sustainable branch

  • Understands market and adjusts business needs to support customer demand for continuous market share growth

  • Performs other routine duties as requested

Supervisory Responsibilities :

Directly supervises employees in the Service Center Locations. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in

accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring

and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance;

rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues.

Must be able to travel 50% of the time (overnight travel 10-15%). Knowledge of oilfield applications for both pump and flow control products, knowledge of product technician specifications are preferred.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Education/Experience Required:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and two to five years sales and management experience; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
