Join Our Team at Fiserv:

As the Director of Software Development, you will lead our efforts in crafting state-of-the-art software solutions for payment processing within Fiserv. This pivotal role coordinates the goals, mission, and strategy of our dedicated team, ensuring our software not only meets but exceeds the rigorous demands of the financial services industry.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Foster a productive and positive work environment to enhance team health and happiness.

• Oversee office operations, including coverage and team scheduling, while approving and supporting team requests across business units.

• Drive the delivery of high-quality software solutions, ensuring they are delivered on time and align with our strategic objectives.

• Prioritize project deliverables, focusing on what is delivered, how it is delivered, and when it is delivered.

• Maintain alignment with Fiserv's broader business priorities and goals, ensuring uptime and stability in line with established SLAs.

• Uphold rigorous security and compliance standards to safeguard our systems and data.

What You Need to Have:

• Proficiency in Perl programming, with a solid foundation in software development principles.

• 5+ years of experience leading a software development organization, including mentoring engineers and cross-functional roles such as QA testers and business analysts.

• Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships and roadmap commitments.

• Experience leading remote teams in an Agile SDLC environment, ensuring efficient and effective collaboration.

What Would Be Great to Have:

• Java/Spring development experience.

• Background in PCI or finance/Fintech industries.

• Knowledge of NACHA compliance.

• Experience transitioning codebases from Perl to Java.

• Expertise in developing microservices.
