Join our COOLR/ACE-2 program as a Network Engineer, where you can contribute your expertise in designing and planning network communications systems. Our product-focused organization is seeking skilled engineers to help modernize and enhance our networks.

As a Network Engineer on the COOLR/ACE Program, you will work within the Lockheed Martin Space division, collaborating with a dynamic and motivated team. This fast-paced and expanding program area has a proven track record of delivering results on shifting customer priorities, and we're looking for someone with a can-do attitude who thrives in a team environment and enjoys tackling complex problems.

Common Job Duties:

• Designs and plans network communications systems.

• Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.

• Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.

• Conducts testing of network design.

• Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, firewalls, switches, gateways, etc.

• Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.

This is a Level 2 position, where successful applicants will typically possess a minimum of 2 years of professional experience having received a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college/university in a related discipline, or additional experience/combined education in lieu of degree

The selected candidate must have a Top Secret security clearance prior to start.

Basic Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Cisco/Juniper network devices and configurations

• Compliance with DOD 8570 IAT Level II, Holding Sec +, CISSP, CASP, or other DOD compliant certification

• Working knowledge of Linux distributions

• Top Secret Security Clearance required prior to start

Desired Skills:

• Working knowledge of network routing protocols such as BGP / OSPF

• Experience applying STIGs to network devices

• Experience implementing and managing ipsec tunnels

• Experience working with TACLANES

• Experience with monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting complex WAN's

• Experience creating network diagrams and designs using tools such as Visio

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
