• Within LM Space, the Victor Program Area is looking for a highly motivated individual to join the program area as a Systems Engineer Staff. This exciting position will fill a critical need in the new and emerging area of protecting space assets.

• As part of an Agile team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks in various areas across the mission and collaborate with the development teams, contractors, customers, and subject matter experts.

The selected candidate for this role will work closely with the customer's team and be responsible for leading efforts and engaging with customers, mission partners, and other stakeholders to satisfy and fulfill customer directed objectives If you are looking for a new position in a fast-paced team environment, where every day brings a new challenge, and you want to support a critical space security mission, the Rainier program is the place for you.

As a Systems Engineer you will

Support the Chief Engineer to ensure integrity of system/segments/subsystems design, integration, verification and certification

Perform in an accelerated, collaborative, dynamic environment closely integrated with customers and contractors

Provide technical leadership and critical readiness assessments for major design reviews

Develop the verification details and system architecture for the requirements to ensure that the system is able to meet the requirements and support the execution of these verification activities

Proactively engage with program leadership and customers to resolve open actions or concerns

Ensure consistency of feature acceptance criteria to meet customer objectives

Planning and creating test cases and tracking progress utilizing modern test management tools

Basic Qualifications:

Experience working in Agile teams leveraging Scrum, Kanban or other methodologies and/or understanding of Agile concepts

Experience with Agile management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Zephyr, etc.

Experience with test plan/procedure preparation and test execution

Experience performing software and/or systems integration and testing

Experience defining tests required to satisfy feature acceptance criteria

Current TS/SCI Security Clearance needed to start

Desired Skills:

Experience with modern engineering practices such as Cross-Functional Agile teams and Capability-based planning

Experience with Systems Engineering tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

Domain Experience and Understanding of Command and Control (C2), Mission Management, Planning and Scheduling, Orbital Mechanics, SSA (Space Situational Awareness)

Ability to understand complex Space mission planning & execution concepts and algorithms necessary to command and control advanced Space Vehicles in multiple orbital regimes

Ability to interact with software developers to ensure mission requirements are satisfied

Experience with Integration testing, system testing and independent verification and validation as well as operational system checkout.

Experience with DevOps, CI/CD Pipelines, and deploying applications to test environments

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
