JOB SUMMARY

The Delta Marriott Orlando is seeking a dynamic Conference Services Manager.

Below are the Core Responsibilities that make up the priority functions and most important responsibilities of this position. These Core Responsibilities are divided into two categories, Job Function and Professionalism and Style Expectations.

Following the Core Responsibilities is a Physical Requirements category that is also expected of all positions within StepStone Hospitality, Inc.

Administration

• Work closely with client after booking to develop good working relationship, including letter of introduction, meeting planner materials, prompt response to calls and requests.

• Maintain professionalism in problem situations.

• Maintain detailed records of discussions with guest, including room accommodations, all meeting setups, food and beverage, transportation, etc. with the support of the Sales & Catering Manager

• Upsell to improve revenue generation on property.

• Sell to specific market segments based on the direction of the Director of Sales & Marketing

• Be readily available during functions for consultation with client, with the support of the Sales & Catering Manager

• Flexible schedule required to accommodate client needs.

• Preside at conference planning meetings where details related to group coordination will be discussed and reviewed by management with the support of the Sales & Catering Manager

• Participate in site reviews.

• Conduct exit interviews with clients to solidify repeat business and distribute results.

• Participate in the preparation of the annual hotel budget.

• Respond and resolve guest requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner.

• Ability to accurately use various office and accounting software.

Support

• Must have comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.

• Ability to assist with the design and preparation of statistical reports and presentations as needed.

• Ability to accurately report information.

• Ability to assist with various office tasks as needed.

• Ability to scrupulously follow all StepStone and hotel policies and procedures.Attend required meetings.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

These are required of every associate.

Additional responsibilities specific to you are:

• Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.

• CI/TY and other Marriott Systems proficiency preferred

• Must have a comprehensive knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations.

• Must have exceptional mathematical and computer skills.

• High school education and relevant training and experience required. Additional education preferred.

• Ability to timely obtain any required licenses or certificates.

• CPR training required; first aid training preferred.

• Additional language ability preferred.
