The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream from procurement to design and manufacturing to distribution. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement and the design and manufacture of Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters).

Job Summary

The Logistics Planning Analyst supports logistics processes, activities, and customers for all modes of transportation. These positions have a heavy focus on supporting digital platforms including share point, power apps, power BI’s information databases, etc.

Additional Info

  • There are two positions available in Lafayette, IN

  • No Relocation is available for these roles

  • The positions are traditionally 1st shift roles, however on-call and off-shift responsibilities may be required based on business needs, including nights and weekends

  • Local travel between multiple warehouses may be necessary

What You Will Do

  • Support digital platforms including share point, power apps, power BI’s information databases, etc.

  • Handles requests for macros creation, excel worksheets and data collection for others as required.

  • Collaborate with operations in the development of analytical tools as needed or requested to help identify and troubleshoot issues that affect PQVC metrics.

  • Collaborate with our customer assisting in data gathering, troubleshooting and finding root causes for systematic issues.

  • Performs at least one HOPS & Standard Work and one 5S & Safety Condition Walks audit each month.

  • Creates and runs daily, weekly and monthly reports as required.

  • Supports the logistics engineering team validating and revising current processes as well as assisting in the development and implementation of new ones.

  • Collects data and reports out on facility’s monthly metrics for GRT.

  • Support, update and troubleshoot the warehouse management software (MTS and MLCC)

  • Complete UAT testing on the warehouse management software (MTS and MLCC) when necessary

  • Acts as a backup and collaborates with other planning analysts troubleshooting and resolving systematic issues.

  • Assists in the development, revision, and implementation of standard work.

  • Performs routine storage accuracy audits across all buildings.

  • Audits and maintains the standard work database.

  • Must be available “on call” to support and or troubleshoot systemic issues when necessary. This may include working remotely after hours up to coming back on-site.

  • Logistics Management : Knowledge of logistics and management; ability to follow proper processes and run operations for effective and efficient movement of materials and finished products.

  • PowerApps Experience (PowerBI)

  • Microsoft Office Experience
