Join the Point-of-Sale (POS) Modernization team! As a Software Engineer, you will work on a highly complex, fast-paced, cross-platform effort with varying technology solutions (infrastructure, software, middleware, etc.). As a vital team member, you will contribute to building scalable, robust, and secure solutions that will enhance the customer checkout experience on the front and backend. You will work closely with the project team to ensure requirements are understood and turned into functional code that is peer-reviewed, tested, and deployed to our production environment.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain software applications for the POS platform, ensuring performance, reliability, security, and scalability.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and other engineers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Implement new features and functionalities to enhance the capabilities of the point-of-sale.
Assist with production installs, pilot monitoring, and problem determination.
Work closely with quality assurance and testers to ensure the delivery of high-quality, bug-free software solutions that will enhance customer experience.
Stay up to date on emerging technologies that may be applied to the point-of-sale.

Potential Annual Pay with Bonus:

Year End Bonus:
As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience
1+ years of experience with .NET, including .NET 6.
1+ years of experience with C#
1+ years of experience with Angular 10+ 1+ years of experience analyzing and creating complex SQL statements and stored procedures with SQL Server
1+ years of experience developing and supporting enterprise applications.
1+ years of Full-Stack development experience
1+ year Unit Testing experience
Experience with Message Queuing (asynchronous publish/subscribe systems (Kafka, MQTT, Rabbit MQ, Mosquitto)
Experience with DDD (Domain Driven Design)
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of experience with .NET 6.0 framework 3.5/4.5/5.0, .NET Core, .NET 6.0
3+ years of experience with C#
3+ years of experience with Angular 10
3+ years of experience with Message Queuing (asynchronous publish/subscribe systems (Kafka, MQTT, Rabbit MQ, Mosquitto)
3+ years of experience analyzing and creating complex SQL statements and stored procedures with SQL Server
3+ years of experience developing and supporting enterprise applications.
Experience with Microsoft PowerShell or similar scripting language
Knowledge of infrastructure-related systems client/server, workstations, servers, networks, and database
