Within our commercial Digital, Data & Analytics organization we are transforming to better power decision-making across our end-to-end commercialization process, from business development to late lifecycle management. As we endeavor, we are seeking a dynamic talent for the role of Associate Director – Data Domain Governance and Stewardship (Oncology).
The Domain Governance and Stewardship Associate Dire is part of the Data Strategy & Governance team reporting to the Director of Data Enablement. As a Domain leader, you will be directing a team of domain experts and stewards across therapeutic areas and markets and will become a subject matter expert on the data products and assets in your domain. As the team leader, you will be responsible for ensuring data within your domains is fit for consumption and use – the quality is excellent, the business rules are managed, change processes are well orchestrated, stakeholders are engaged and satisfied, training is available and accessible, and all meta-attributes required for supporting compliant access are up to date and accurate.
In this role you will work closely with data product solutions domain teams, Business Analytics and Insights leads, IT Oncology leads, Business Data Owners, Data Strategists, Data Scientists, platform owners, and other domain leads to maintain consistent and scalable business processes that enable your mission. In addition, you will manage and develop a highly skilled team of on shore employees and offshore contractors.
While this is a business role, a working knowledge of the basics of data management, in particular as it relates to data quality, business rule application, and business mapping files / reference data will be essential. Additionally, knowledge of the Oncology data landscape and details will be very helpful.
Key responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:
Translate data problems, needs and opportunities into integrated solutions aligned with business strategy for the many different functions within Human Health commercial teams
Lead stakeholder meetings and engage with leadership to continuously refine solutions and processes to meet the operational needs of analytics and data transformation teams
Apply a strong understanding of business processes, change management, commercial business rules, data quality management, data enablement, and governance to effectively manage domains within a dynamic and fast paced analytics environment
Ensure the standard governance and stewardship model is correctly deployed and work with leadership to continuously refine and improve the model across all data domains
Partner with various business strategy and execution teams, internal data stewards and 3rd party vendors to further develop and scale the company’s data assets
Oversee and support Data Stewards within specific data domains and therapeutic areas and provide them with guidance and leadership to manage and maintain high-quality data products and processes
Partner with peer Data Enablement Leads to support demand across the business lines.

Required experience:
Familiarity with US commercial pharmaceutical data and common business rules for Oncology, especially medical claims
Working knowledge of the basic processes executed by the primary roles in pharmaceutical sales, marketing and analytics operations
Minimum of three (3) years managing and leading a team of direct reports
Working knowledge of basic descriptive analytics and creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working with data governance or ingestion activities, Sales Operations, Change Management, or related commercial data experience.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication as well as strong presentation skills and an ability to build relationships with stakeholders, understand business strategy and lead cross-functional teams to achieve business goals and drive decision-making.
Demonstrated project management skills.

Strong collaborator, independent worker, resourceful.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Knowledge:
Analyzing, re-designing and testing organization designs and processes to drive efficiencies
Designing and deploying demand management and operational KPI trackers
Working with the tools of data stewardship – Business Rule Managers, Catalogs, SOPs, Demand Management, DQ Management
Knowledge of Real World Data – claims, EMRs, labs, etc
Knowledge of SQL and BI tools
Education:
BA/BS required
Business, IT or Analytics related field of study preferred

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
