Fresenius Medical Care North America Director Sales Training & Clinical Education in Lawrence, Massachusetts

Position Summary:

This position will report directly to the Vice President of Commercial & Business Operations – Critical Care, Renal and be responsible for incremental sales and revenue growth by leading the U.S. Field Sales Training & Clinical Education Department. This includes the National Training Manager, Clinical Consultants, Virtual Education, and clinical per diem resources in the execution of NxStage’s business and clinical strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the field sales and clinical education departments while ensuring best practices and the continuous development of new and existing Area Sales Managers, Therapy Specialists, Clinical Consultants, and Area Sales Directors.

  • Collaborative work with the VP of Commercial & Business Operations, Vice President of Sales and Director of Marketing to execute and continuously improve field clinical education execution as it relates to achievement of the NxStage business plan.

  • Collaborative work with the VP of Commercial & Business Operations, Vice President of Sales and Director of Marketing to create professional development programs for the ASDs, ASMs, TSs, and CCs.

  • Leads and develops continued partnerships, strategies, and opportunities for the ACES initiatives.

  • Serve as a resource for the Marketing team to provide voice of customer, including opportunities identified by the field and unmet needs of current customers and account targets.

  • Support marketing and sales leadership with fellows programs, meeting content and designing the curriculum.

  • Administer successful implementation of clinical education tools for facility “train the trainer” initiatives.

  • Logistical and competency management of field Clinical Educators and Clinical Managers

  • Preparation and monitoring of quality improvement plans, retention programs, key performance indicators, evaluations and documented developmental plans.

  • Recommendation of incentive and compensation plans for field nursing personnel

  • Development and maintenance of relevant clinical education management policies and procedures

  • Maintain clinical competency through nephrology literature, meetings, NxStage products and services and their clinical application.

  • Develop strong links with the HR functions to drive the learning and development agenda as well as the development and retention of top-tier talent

  • Ability to travel to and from customer site locations

  • Travel is expected of this position, 60-80%.

SUPERVISION:

Responsible for the direct supervision of Sales Training Manager

EDUCATION:

B.S. in Nursing

Education & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in dialysis preferably in all areas (acute, chronic, PD)

  • 5+ years management experience

  • 5+ years in sales experience

  • Nursing management experience essential

  • CNN

  • For acute positions, ICU CRRT or acute dialysis CRRT

  • For chronic positions, home hemodialysis training experience.

  • Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record a must

  • Candidate should have the following attributes:

  • Demonstrate ability to identify, understand, and apply skills to meet clinical and business objectives
