Description:
Lockheed Martin’s SOF GLSS Team, the leading provider of a wide range of tailored logistics, maintenance and sustainment services is seeking a Manager, MFC SOF-GLSS Program Cost/Labor Accounting, AP & Billing to join the SOF GLSS team in Lexington, KY. The candidate will perform classified duties supporting multiple Special Operations groups.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Manager, MFC SOF-GLSS Program Cost/Labor Accounting, AP & Billing your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Manage the MFC SOF-GLSS Program Cost/Labor Accounting, AP & Billing team
• Support the Sr. Manager and other leaders in achieving task-based and goal-based objectives
• Guide a team of varying degrees of experience, responsibility, and independence
• Develop and provide actionable recommendations to key stakeholders for sound financial and operating decisions
• Oversee various accounting functions, including:
• Compilation of financial information
• Journal entry processing and approval
• Accounts Payable
• Billing
• Reconciliations
• Labor accounting and reporting
• Closeouts
• Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a team of accounting professionals
• Provide guidance and direction on accounting functions
• Develop and implement process improvements
• Analyze and report on financial data
• Provide recommendations to stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Experience in cost accounting, labor accounting, and accounting management
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Ability to provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders
• Familiarity with accounting systems and software
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

This position is located in Lexington, KY Discover Lexington
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is in direct support of a U.S. government contract that requires a company-sponsored clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:
• Leading the team through month-end close
• Managing monthly accounting processes with a focus on internal controls
• Review of completed staff work
• Support and prepare for the 1LMX ERP implementation, particularly in the areas of costing rates, regulatory reporting and systems processing
• Connect with other LM finance teams supporting MFC accounting activities
• Coach, train, and feedback to the team and support a culture of continuous feedback
• Lead and execute special projects for the organization, as required
Desired Skills:
• 15+ years of accounting/finance experience
• Leadership experience at LM
• Experience with SAP and ERP conversions in A&D industry
• Experience in or coordinating with the FP&A function
• Demonstrated experience with Revenue from Contracts (ASC606) at an A&D company
• Demonstrated experience with Financial Statement, Orders, Sales reporting at LM
• Demonstrated experience working with external auditors
• FLDP and/or ALDP graduate
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
