Job Description

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

BAE Systems is seeking a Semiconductor Equipment Maintenance Engineer to support our Foundry facility in Lexington, MA and in Nashua, NH primarily in Lexington.

  • Equipment maintenance support, to help support the Production team meet cycle times.

  • In-depth knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing equipment across multiple equipment types.

  • Working with process engineer leads to troubleshoot process/equipment failures to find root cause, define and implement the solution.

  • Design, execution, and analysis of experiments to screen and optimize equipment to drive continuous improvement, high uptime and process reliability, efforts.

  • Lead communications with other equipment maintenance team members and equipment users.

  • Work with outside vendors for specialist advice and arrange for service support where necessary.

  • Quickly react to change of priorities to support fast changing production priorities

  • Develop procedures for, and carry out preventative maintenance on foundry production equipment.

  • Use advanced task scheduling features of production software programs to set up maintenance schedules, record completion of maintenance tasks and add any related data.

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

  • Will be responsible for routine tasks of gas bottle changes, shipping out of parts or equipment for cleaning or repair.

  • Will be responsible for supporting other Equipment Maintenance activities such as parts & chemical inventories, general purchasing needs, etc.

Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

This is a hands on position requiring wearing cleanroom attire and working in a cleanroom environment. As an Engineer, standing, kneeling, reaching and occasional lifting 30 lbs may be required to repair equipment. To perform some tasks, you will be required to wear PPE and must be willing to safely work with hazardous materials & chemicals. SCBA will need to be used for gas bottle changes.

  • Experience with Photo Lithography and vacuum semiconductor equipment is preferred

  • Experience in Semiconductor tools such as Oxford, ASML, Applied materials and Lam is a plus but not required.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor degree and/or equivalent experience directly working with semiconductor manufacturing tools is required.

  • Field Service or OEM related work on Semiconductor equipment is acceptable.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $92290 - $156860

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
