Description: What You Will Be Doing

This position supports avionics research, development, prototype, production, test, and maintenance activities at the Patuxent Engineering Facility (PEF). This position is an electrical/electronic technician in the wire shop. Job requirements and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Fabrication of electrical cables, harnesses, and wire assemblies and assembly of circuit boards .

- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, including schematics, assembly drawings, interconnect drawings, and wire lists as needed to manufacture and assemble components in accordance with drawing requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of five (5) years electronic technician experience.

Experience with reading and interpreting engineering drawings to include assembly drawings, schematic diagrams, interconnect drawings, and wire lists.

Experience with fabricating and assembling electrical and electronic cables, harnesses, assemblies, and avionics racks and components.

Experience with build up and repair of circuit boards

Experience troubleshooting to component level.

Ability to interface with design engineers.

Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Desired Skills:

Familiarity with Shop travelers and production procedures and processes.

Seven (7) years electronic technician experience.

IPC / J-STD-001 Solder Certified

IPC / WHMA-620 Cable Certified

Experience working with Quality Control inspectors and Quality Assurance personnel.

Experience with soldering surface mount (SMT) and through hole components on circuit card assemblies.

Experience with de-soldering and or repairing circuit card assemblies.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
