In this role you will:

  • Develop and manage the cross-functional timeline for the new product development process, including software development, quality documentation, software test, regulatory, supply chain, service and repair integration and support.

  • Lead project teams and work with management to resolve resource gaps.

  • Identify critical paths within the project and offer solutions to roadblocks.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members, acting as scrum master in the agile process.

  • Identify appropriate project strategies that match product/market goals and follow the new product development process with a focus on quality.

  • Manage project risk through comprehensive mitigation assessment and planning techniques and be responsible for working with internal/external partners to develop project plans and project risk analyses for all assigned projects.

  • Communicate on project status to all project stakeholders. Communication includes project meeting minutes, post-market introduction reports, status reports and project deep-dives as required.

  • Define key project constraints such as scope, schedule, budget, resources and risks and clearly communicate roles, expectations and accountabilities to the project team on a regular basis.

  • Become the lead contact for all internal partners (test, quality, manufacturing, finance, hardware team, etc.) regarding project activities and establish and maintain relationships with all project members (global & domestic).

  • Create and maintain the project budget, collaborating closely with functional managers or internal partners as needed to ensure project goals are achieved.

  • Mentor and provide leadership to project coordinators.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree focused degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Communications or related fields is required.

  • An advanced degree is preferred.

  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant industry experience is required.

  • A minimum of 4 years of project leadership experience is required.

  • A minimum of 2 years of Agile / Scrum process and tools experience is preferred.

  • Experience working in the Medical Device industry including the full software development lifecycle, requirements tracking system and management of Design History File is preferred.

  • Experience working with Cloud-based development of connected devices is preferred.

  • A Scrum Master certification is a plus.

  • A Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) is a plus.

  • Proven success in leading a project from concept through market introduction is preferred.

  • Experience reporting periodic project status to Executive Management is preferred.

  • Experience managing external contractors and suppliers is preferred.

  • Proficiency using the MS Office Suite (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) is required.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability is required.

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills are required.

  • Proficiency in written and/or spoken French is desired.

  • The ability to work independently, provide multiple solutions to problems and effectively integrate systems is required.

  • This candidate must be well organized, self-motivated, energetic, creative, and resourceful.

  • In addition, this candidate must demonstrate strong leadership, management, and teamwork qualities.

  • This position may require up to 25% travel primarily domestic and potentially international.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $101,500 to $142,000. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
