Warehouse/Kitting Personnel - Litchfield, MN
This is a full-time, hourly position.
Purpose : Provide support to the Inventory Control Manager, to whom this position directly reports. Support is specifically defined as: document and record all incoming and outgoing BOL’s; assemble full inventories when requested or on a routine basis; generate Load-Out Inspections and Disposal forms, when needed. Secondarily the position will be expected to cover the Inventory Control Manager position when they are unavailable.
Working Relationships: The position reports directly to the Warehouse / Inventory Supervisor. The position requires the cooperation of the Office Coordinator, Production Supervisors/Leads, Quality technicians, and the Plant Manager, vendors, customers and transportation companies.
Responsibilities and duties
Provide control of inventory to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements and specifications.
Document all Incoming and Outgoing products and materials on the BOL’s. Ensure that documentation is accurate, clear, and timely.
Verify incoming raw materials / packaging components against the approved supplier list. Inform Inventory Control Manager / Quality department of any abnormalities.
Verify incoming raw materials / packaging against the BOL for accuracy and abnormalities. Inform the Inventory Control Manager if there are any changes.
Generate accurate Inventory counts on a routine (monthly) basis or as needed.
When required, Generate accurate and clear BOL, Load-Out Inspection and Disposal forms.
Understand and remain fluent with the SOPs relevant to the position.
Maintain the Warehouse in an organized manner. Segregation of raw materials from finished products, Segregation of Allergens, Organic, Gluten Free, Non-GMO, segregation by customer.
Ability to use and learn the internal ERP system and tasks generated.
Control the movement of inventory within the warehouse so it is traceable.
Monitor First in/First out.
Ensure that the floor is always free from debris.
Document and report immediately any incident that would cause the inventory status of a material or product to change.
Ability to operate a forklift in a safe and effective manner.
Ability to handle pallets of product and materials in a confined space.
Organized, clean, good communication and a positive attitude are the critical interpersonal skills expected.
Perform duties in a manner that will not compromise the Safety / Quality / Integrity / Security of raw materials, packaging components, finished product, and equipment.
Alert the Inventory Control Manager of any incident that may impact the Safety / Quality / Integrity / Security of raw materials, packaging components, and finished product.
Empowered to act within the scope of their responsibilities to resolve the impact of these issues immediately.
Scan incoming and outgoing BOL’s to Warehouse/Inventory Supervisor
Report suspicious activity or unusual observations to the Inventory Control Manager.
Follow proper SOP’s, cGMPs, HAACP, Food Safety, Food Defense, Allergen, Food Safety Culture, and company policies.
Other Duties as assigned by Warehouse Lead and Inventory Supervisor
Standard of Performance: Warehouse and Inventory Assistant is deemed to be performing satisfactorily when the following criteria are met.
