As an Electronics Power Products Certified Principal Engineer (CPE) for in-house avionics in the Bus Center of Excellence, you will lead the development of an advanced state-of-the-art Avionics product in a world class Integrated Product Development environment.


• Lead the acceptance testing and product certification of in-house power products.

• Support engineering reviews, design reviews, Product Certification Board (PCB), Engineering Material Review Board (EMRB) hardware discrepancy decisions, and Failure Review Board (FRB) as required.

• Resolve test anomalies and troubleshooting, and generation, review, and presentation of Product Certification, and support system level testing.

• Manage risk and identify mitigation plans to meet productivity, quality, cost, schedule, and mission success objectives.

• Participate in research & development programs.

We are looking for you to have:

• Experience with space power product development.

• Project track record of success in meeting technical, schedule, and cost objectives is desired.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with personnel of various skill levels, technical backgrounds, management, and customers.

• Previously worked on integrated product teams.

• Enjoy working in a manufacturing and test environment with hands-on hardware interaction.


• 9 - 15 years of professional experience.

US Citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

• Demonstrated experience in power supply product development and/or production for high reliability programs.

• Experience with circuit design and circuit analysis.

• US Citizenship is required to access certain facilities.

Desired Skills:

• Experience as a Certified Principal Engineer for Power Products.

• Demonstrated experience with space and / or missile power systems requirements, architecture, design, analysis, manufacturing, integration, and/or test.

• Experience in design of radiation tolerant electronics products is a plus.

• Experience developing power budgets for space vehicles.

• Cradle to delivery Power subsystem experience on a large (NASA Class A/B) program.

• Familiarity with LM Space Family of satellites (LM2100/LM1000/LM400/LM50) as well as Radio Frequency (RF) Center of Excellence (COE) / Optical (OP) COE payload products.

• Experience with Zuken, PSPICE, LTSPICE, MATLAB, MATHCAD, LABVIEW or similar products.

• Review of electronics worst case analyses (eWCA).
